Free Shakespeare in the park Thurs-Sun by GreenStage

GreenStage’s mission is to inspire audiences to engage with live theater as part of their recreation. The productions are free, fun, and family-oriented. Shakespeare’s plays are presented simply, focusing on the text, story, characters and relationships in the play.

GreenStage’s 22nd season is filled with love and lovers. Tragic, beautiful, silly, star-crossed, unrequited and out of their minds – they’re all here in “As You Like It” and “Romeo & Juliet”, presented through August 14 in parks throughout the region, including several parks in Seattle as well as parks in Lynnwood, Burien, Fall City, and Redmond. Plays are offered on Thursday-Saturday nights at 7pm and Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 3pm.

On the Boards (OTB) is a non-profit contemporary performing arts organization located in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Spotlight Nights at 5th Avenue Theatre are entertaining, informative and free. Sponsored by US Bank, this incredibly popular series gives you a behind-the- scenes look at upcoming shows. For each production, the Producing Artistic Director, David Armstrong, leads guest speakers and performers through an intriguing mix of song, dance, interviews, video clips, and more. Spotlight Nights is a chance to get acquainted with the show’s creative team and cast, learn about the technical wizardry involved, discover the history and significance of a show, and the social issues surrounding it. Spotlight Nights enriches your knowledge of American musical theater.

Volunteer at the Moisture Festival variety shows March 11-April 4, 2010 in Seattle

Volunteer at the Moisture Festival, featuring the best in local, national and international artists of Comedy/Varietè. With each great show there are important jobs that must be done to make sure the show runs smoothly and that the audience is happy. Most volunteers help with the daily set-up and clean-up for each show. We make sure the theater is set and stocked, prepped for aerial acts and special performances, and kept sparkling.
