Free family friendly Movies at the Park Tuesdays in Bellevue

Summer Outdoor Movies in the Park presented by the City of Bellevue and sponsored by Intellius run every Tuesday from July 5-Aug 23, 2011. Admission to each show is free. However, each week will be dedicated to a special non-profit. Your donations will be graciously accepted.

  • Where? Downtown Bellevue Park 10201 4th St. NE, Bellevue, WA (Google map) (Movies will be held at SBCC, 14509 SE Newport Way, Bellevue 98006 should we encounter inclement weather.)
  • When? Every Tuesday beginning July 5. The movie will begin at dusk.

Free outdoor movies Wednesdays at King County’s Marymoor Park in Redmond

Outdoor Movies at Marymoor Park is held Wednesday evenings from July 13 – August 31 MacNair Field in King County’s Marymoor Park (Google map) turns into a giant outdoor movie theater! Outdoor Movies at Marymoor Park take place in the center of the park on the grass of MacNair Field. Grab your family, friends, blankets, dogs and lawn chairs and join in for trivia contests, games, prizes and big screen movies under the stars! Doors open at 7pm.

$1 movies Tuesday and Wednesday all summer at Regal, United Artists and Edwards Theatres

Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films during SUMMER MOVIE EXPRESS. During this 9-week festival, participating Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00am.

  • Selected G & PG movies start at 10AM each Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Seating is first-come, first-served seating and limited to theatre capacity.
  • Tickets for the Summer Movie Express are exclusively available at select theatres’ box office on the day of the show.

Redmond Arts in the Parks free performance series

The Redmond Arts Commission and City of Redmond Parks & Recreation Department proudly present the free series Arts in the Parks at Redmond City Hall Campus! Arts in the Parks is the City’s summer music and theater arts series held in July and August on the Redmond City Hall Campus Green Space, 15670 NE 85th Street (Google map).

  • Tuesday afternoon performances are geared for small children and their caregivers
  • Friday evenings are for the whole family. All performances are FREE

$12 North City Jazz Walk Aug 16, 2011 is a live jazz bargain

Come to the North City Jazz Walk on Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM. The $12 ticket gets you in to all performances. Start at 175th and make your way down 15th (Google map) to 10 venues featuring live jazz performances from greats such as Pearl Django, Greta Matassa, and They Young Lizards with Janette West (just to name a few). Plus Salsa music and Salsa Dance lessons under the stars with Eduardo Aguirre! Refreshments are available at any of the venues, or in the beer garden. This is the best Jazz Festival bargain anywhere!

Free summer concerts Wednesdays in Shoreline

The free Summer of Fun Concerts in the Park is presented Wednesday evenings in July and August at Richmond Beach Park in Shoreline. Enjoy an eclectic mix of performers, from rock to jazz as well as an evening of Shakespeare! Check the concert website for a schedule of performers. Bring a picnic and friends and come on down. Rain or shine, the entertainment will be fine! All performances begin at 7 pm. Richmond Beach Community Park (at the library), Richmond Beach Rd at 21st Ave NW, Shoreline (Google map).

Free chamber music summer concerts in Seattle and Redmond

Seattle Chamber Music concerts are offered for free listening via their Music Under the Stars summer program with concerts in Seattle and Redmond. Hear the 7 PM pre-concert recital and the 8 PM main concert in an informal, outdoor setting. Although you won’t be able to see the musicians, you’ll hear every sizzling note through a high-quality, live radio broadcast.   • Throughout the month of July, chamber music will flourish in the Garden of Remembrance outside Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle. Bring your own picnic or pre-order an elegant picnic supper from Wolfgang Puck Catering, and enjoy dining al fresco in a comfortable seating area created especially for our Festival; a limited number of tables and chairs will be available, as well as informal seating on the stairs. The Garden of Remembrance is located along Second Avenue on the west side of Benaroya Hall. PLEASE NOTE: Alcohol must be purchased onsite and consumed only in designated areas.
  • The first two weeks in August, experience chamber music in nature on the tranquil, green campus of The Overlake School in Redmond. Music is broadcast onto a gently sloping lawn surrounded by tall evergreens; bring your blanket or lawn chairs and pack in your own picnic, or pre-order a boxed dinner from Gretchen’s Shoebox Express. The “Music Under the Stars” broadcast area is adjacent to the school’s main parking lot.

Free weekend summer concerts at the Ballard Locks for 2011

The Annual Free Summer Concerts and Events at the Locks hosts more than 30 bands, plays, shows and orchestras at the Ballard Locks. Every weekend during summer, June through Labor Day, at Hiram Chittenen Locks (aka “The Ballard Locks”). Starting times vary, so be sure to check the schedule. The Hiram Chittenden Locks are located in Ballard at 3015 NW 54th Street, Seattle (Google map). All events are free and open to the public.
