Fine-Dining for Less in March with Dine Around Seattle

Whether you live in the Seattle area or are just visiting, Dine Around Seattle is a fine-dining experience you don’t want to miss. Now in its tenth year, this bi-annual promotion has become so woven into the culinary culture of our area, that locals and visitors alike eagerly await its arrival.
 
Here’s how Dine Around Seattle works… Each March and November, Sundays through Thursdays, Seattle’s finest restaurants offer a 3-course meal for a mere $30. This includes selections for a dinner appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Many of the restaurants also offer lunch for $15 or wine options. Prices do not include beverage, tax and gratuity. (Menus are not available on Thanksgiving or Easter.)

First ever WA BEER OPEN HOUSE, Saturday, February 25, 2012 from noon-5PM

This Saturday across Washington State, brewers will open their breweries for the first WA Beer Open House presented by the Washington Beer Commission (WBC). On Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 12:00 noon-5:00 PM, more than 30 of Washington’s many fine and friendly craft brewers will do something special, whether it’s a guided tour, the opportunity to chat with brewers, barrel samples, tastes from aged and secret stashes, or special pricing on pints or bottles.

Wine Enthusiast (WE) magazine’s Top 100 Best Buys of 2011 is their antidote to rising wine prices. All of these wines carry a suggested retail prices of $15 or less, which makes it a list of brands, worldwide regions, and varieties you can count on to keep you–and your wallet–happy in 2012.

Over the past 12 months, WE tasting panelists reviewed more than 16,000 wines, granting the coveted Best Buy designation to only 1,224 (7.6%).
