First ever WA BEER OPEN HOUSE, Saturday, February 25, 2012 from noon-5PM

This Saturday across Washington State, brewers will open their breweries for the first WA Beer Open House presented by the Washington Beer Commission (WBC). On Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 12:00 noon-5:00 PM, more than 30 of Washington’s many fine and friendly craft brewers will do something special, whether it’s a guided tour, the opportunity to chat with brewers, barrel samples, tastes from aged and secret stashes, or special pricing on pints or bottles.

Fremont Oktoberfest is Seattle’s Fall Tradition in the “Center of the Universe” Fremont, Washington. Voted by USA Today and Orbitz.com as one of the top places to toast Oktoberfest, this three-day festival features a Tasting Garden, live music, Kids Area, a 5K Run, and plenty of other activities. Every Wednesday through Saturday, during normal business hours, Soul Wine has 3-4 wines open to taste in their tasting bar. One wine will be free to taste and the others will have a nominal charge (for a two ounce pour) ranging from $2-$5. This way you can taste a wine or two, or linger over all, any time of the day. In the Soul tasting bar you can taste wines you won’t see offered too many other places and learn something about them in a relaxed atmosphere. The tasting wines will be offered at discounted prices if you want to purchase a bottle (or two…or more!) to take home.

Kirkland Uncorked: A Festival of Art, Style & Taste July 15-17, 2011

Kirkland Uncorked is a regional showcase of art, food and wine on the picturesque shores of Lake Washington. A signature summer event benefiting the Hope Heart Institute, Kirkland Uncorked features artist showrooms, a boat show, and dog modeling contest in the Promenade and a Tasting Garden with grilling demonstrations, wine tasting and live music.

The Kirkland Uncorked Promenade features Artist Lane, brought to you by Kirkland Arts Center, with more than 40 artist booths and shopping, festival food booths, CityDog Magazine’s Cover Dog Model Contest and boat showcase. The Promenade in downtown Kirkland is free and open to the public.
