First Draft gives local writers an exciting chance to stage readings of their work with professional actors, a live audience, and feedback from industry insiders. Audience members get a glimpse into the first stage of the filmmaking process. Film fans have the opportunity, along with industry professionals, to offer immediate and constructive feedback. The SIFF audience is savvy and includes writers, actors, and filmmakers, as well as film lovers.
First Draft takes in selected months, typically on a Wednesday from 7:00pm to 9:30pm at SIFF Film Center, Seattle Center Northwest Rooms, near Warren Ave & Republican St. (between the Seattle Repertory Theatre and Key Arena).
FREE, but RSVP to reserve a seat. First Draft events are intentionally overbooked to insure a full house. So plan to arrive early.
