Port Gardner Bay Winery, 3006 Rucker Ave, Everett, WA 98201. Live music Friday-Saturday from 7-9 p.m. NO COVER CHARGE. Temporarily closed as of December 2016, as they move into this new location on Rucker, last ETA July 2017.

North of the canal
Blue Moon Tavern, 712 NE 45th Street, Seattle, WA just off I-5. Street parking is limited. Live music almost every night with several different band, often local rock groups, along with other genre (punk, bluegrass…). Full bar. No food, just baskets of peanuts. Cover is $5 Thursday-Sunday, unless otherwise noted on their website.
Conor Byrne Pub, 5140 Ballard Avenue NW, Seattle, WA 98107. Weekends feature world class music, including Rock, Country, Folk, and Bluegrass and a pivotal stepping stone for local bands like The Maldives, Davidson Hart Kingsbery and The Head and The Heart, on their way to bigger stages and audiences. Full bar. No food, but you can bring food in. Free shows Tuesday and Wednesday, other nights cover is $8-$10.
Kraken Bar & Lounge, 5257 University Way NE, Seattle, WA. Street parking. Dive college bar near University of Washington with pinball during the week, and local and touring bands (leaning to loud punk, metal) on the weekends. Cheap booze, good food (burgers/sandwiches, soups, and bar snacks), friendly staff, and clean restrooms. Most shows are $5.
Seamonster Lounge, at 2202 N 45th ST, Seattle, WA. Street parking. Created by musicians, for musicians. An intimate living room features world class live music 7 nights a week, leaning to 3 or 4 piece bands playing jazz/funk. Full bar. Food includes salads, soup, and burgers. Music starts around 10 and there’s never a cover charge.
Sunset, 5433 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107. Betty’s Room is the front bar area, great for grabbing a drink before a performance in the show room or just hanging out with friends the whole night; there is never a cover in the Betty Room. Upcoming local bands midweek or as openers on the w/e. Recently remodeled sound and good sight lines to the stage throughout the room. Most shows are under $10; some are up to $15.
Tim’s Tavern, 602 N 105th Seattle, WA 98133. Free parking in their lot. A cozy neighborhood bar featuring live music, pull tab gambling, an outdoor patio, sports on large HD TVs. Friendly staff. Good prices. Food includes house-made pulled pork sandwiches, smoked ribs, and pizza. Live original music (no cover bands) Thursday-Sunday at 9 pm, cover is $5-$7.

Timeless Seattle institution, famed for its high backed booths, swiveling captain’s chairs and an exhibition kitchen known for lively, counter-side exchanges. Delicious food and a 24-hour menu. Crocodile, 2200 2nd Avenue, Seattle, Washington 98121. Street pay-to-park 8 AM to 8 PM Monday—Saturday; Sunday’s are free. There are many parking lots in close proximity, ranging from $10-15 in the evening. Seattle’s quintessential rock and roll venue boasts many incredible artists who have played within the walls of Belltown’s much loved living room including: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Cheap Trick, R.E.M., Mudhoney, Beastie Boys, Macklemore, Snoop Dogg, and many, many more. The Back Bar (always all ages) serves hot pizza and cold drinks seven nights a week. Some shows are FREE, many others are just $5-$10 cover, on up to $25 and more for headliner acts.

All vegan food menu (no meat, no cheese) includes sandwiches, tacos, and bar snacks. Music a few nights each week, most shows are $5-8.
Highway99 Blues Club, 1414 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA. Street parking is free after 8pm. State-of-the-art distributed sound system provides great audio to every corner of the space. A menu of Louisiana-style food. Wide selection of beverages. Rotating music styles featuring local, regional and national artists performing zydeco, honkeytonk, americana, boogie, blues, soul, R&B, rock, jazz, and gospel. Midweek cover is usually under $10, weekends its $15-$20.
Triple Door, 216 Union Street, Seattle, WA 98101. Parking garages in the area; closest is on Union and 2nd Avenue. Valet Service is available on Union Street Thursday – Sunday evening for $10 (only $1 more than parking in the garage). Open 7 nights a week. In the Musicquarium lounge, there is no cover charge. On the Main Stage, depending on the artist, most tickets are $12-$30 for advance tickets, sometimes more for premium seating.
VERA Project, Warren & Republican Ave N, Seattle, WA, 98109. Street parking. All-ages volunteer-fueled music and arts venue. Programs focus on young people ages 14 to 24. Most Vera programs are at Seattle Center and include concerts, as well as training in audio engineering, recording, and event production training. Weekly concerts promote artistic experimentation and excellence in a professional setting, leveraging industry-standard technology. Shows range from $6-$20; advance tickets are often discounted.
Vito’s, 927 Ninth Avenue (on Madison), Seattle, Wa 98104. Street parking. Iconic restaurant and lounge on First Hill, since 1953, featuring classic Italian food and full bar with craft cocktails. Live jazz, blues and lounge singers almost every night of the week. No cover.
Skylark, 3803 Delridge Way SW, Seattle, WA 98106. Free parking lot, free parking behind club and more on SW Andover Street one block south. All ages every day until 9PM; kids under 12 are free. Karaoke every Tuesday at 9pm. Open mic every Wednesday evening. All ages open mic every last Sunday of the month. Full backline, sound engineer to dial you in, 16 track mixable recording, and the full stage experience! Full menu and full bar (ID required) and 12 beers on tap. Eclectic music styles: Indie rock, power pop, americana, hard rock, experimental, jazz, triphop, metal, burlesque, stand-up comedy, drag, tribute bands, rock operas, belly dance, game shows, etc. Most shows are under $10.
Royal Room, 5000 Rainier Avenue South, 98118. Free street parking, cheap lot 1 block north on Ferdinand. The venue has been designed to serve the musicians and artists with a permanent backline, recording and video, a grand piano and a generous stage, yet a comfortable neighborhood feel. Featured music covers a wide range of styles, with an emphasis on creative programming and development. Food menu includes snacks, salads, dinner entrees, and dessert. Open seven nights a week. Most shows Thursday-Sunday are no cover; musicians are compensated by your donation.
