Seattle One-Act Play Project (SOAP) and Baker Theater Workshop Presents: “The Missing” by Simin Paksirat. The evocative play follows the lives of one family–mother and three grown daughters–in Iran today. The story belongs to the women at the center of this play, though others try to control it. The cost of struggle for justice is high. The consequences of claiming the moment, or believing and acting on belief, are extreme in the apartment these women share. More than one life is lost, as these women accept and command the bitter strength of self-determination. More info: The Baker Theater Workshop Presents: “The Missing” by Simin Paksirat | Hugo House
About (SOAP) and Baker Theater Workshop
The mission of the Seattle One-Act Play Project (SOAP) and Baker Theatre Workshop is to support the creation and performance of new works of theatre in Seattle, with a special concern for involving low-income high-school students. They aspire to identify and nurture new works of theatre in their early phases, showing what’s possible and not what has been polished.
