Qualifying low-income individuals can receive a free Android smartphone and cell service. Assurance Wireless will be onsite every 2nd and 4th Tuesday to register interested individuals who meet eligibility criteria for phone plans including unlimited data, text, and minutes. Free Android smartphones will be available onsite for those who qualify. Qualifying criteria include receiving SNAP, SSI, Medicaid, Veterans pension or Survivors pension, or Section 8 benefits. Individuals might also qualify based on income. The Assurance representative will be on the 5th floor of the Central Library on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month beginning at 10am.
