South Hudson Music Project and KNKX present The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, a 1920’s German expressionist masterpiece and the first true horror film. With painted shadows, hypnotic charms and beautiful early typography, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is cited as one of the earliest, most influential and artistically acclaimed German expressionist films. Join us this Halloween as we screen this stunning silent piece of early cinema, scored by our very own Wayne Horvitz. Doors: 5pm for trick or treating, drinks, food and fun! The Royal Room is All Ages until 10pm. Admission by donation, no registration needed. Table reservations available for guests who plan to dine at the Royal Room. Seating for non-diners is first come, first served. Spooky Beats: A Halloween Jam to follow. $5 tickets at the door if you stay after the movie!
