Seattle Sound Steps is a city-wide walking program designed to keep older adults moving, exploring the city, and meeting new people. Join the spring training program and train to walk up to a half marathon (13 miles). Saturday group walks increase in distance from February-June and there are special walk events along the way to keep you motivated. Walks are planned and guided by volunteers and there are north and south Seattle meeting locations. Sign up by February 14, and join the group as soon as possible. The groups meet weekly on Saturday for a walk, and midweek there are also maps and walks you can complete on your own or with small groups. Attend a kick-off event in January to learn more and receive your training calendar: Saturday, 1/27 from 10-11:30 am at Jefferson Community Center on Beacon Hill or Saturday, 1/27 from 2-3:30 p.m. at Northgate Community Center.
