Although peak mushroom season is over and most of the large showy mushrooms are gone, many smaller varieties are still on display if you know where to find them. Not sure where to look? Then join us as we explore the forest on a winter mushroom hunt. Many mushroom species can still be found well into January! Although the peak of the mushroom season has passed and most of the larger varieties have decomposed, there are many small and colorful species out there to be discovered. Join lead Naturalist Ed Dominguez as we search the forest for yellow waxy caps, translucent cats tongues, and red-painted caps as well as oyster mushrooms and artist conks.
