Halloween III does include the Michael Myers character because the Halloween series was originally intended to be an anthology with a different horror story for each film. After the first Halloween movie’s success with the Michael Myers storyline, the production team decided they would do a continuation of his story with Halloween II. Halloween 3: Season of the Witch departs from the Michael Myers storyline. In Halloween 3, the “Silver Shamrock” mask is the newest “must have” for Halloween. Harry Grimbridge shows up at a hospital in California, clutching the mask and screaming, “They are going to kill us!”. After he is murdered, Doctor Daniel Challis teams up with Grimbridge’s daughter Ellie. The pair uncover a plot by mask maker Conal Cochran to kill as many people as possible on Halloween with a computer chip hidden in the trademarks on the “Silver Shamrock” Halloween masks.
