The Jackson Street Jazz Walk (JSJW) commemorates the musical legacy of the Seattle Central District, where music icons such as Ernestine Anderson, Ray Charles, and Quincy Jones got their starts. Through the generous sponsorship of community partners, JSJW features a diverse array of jazz, blues, and alternative artists. This MUSIC for a CAUSE event has a mission to commemorate and celebrate the neighborhood’s musical legacy and create performance opportunities for local artists while fostering human connection and community support. Jackson Street Jazz Walk 2022
- This year the celebration kicks off on Sept. 9th with a Black & White Gala, featuring live music, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, and a no-host bar. Gala LIVE music features award-winning singer/songwriter Eugenie Jones and the incomparable E. Pruitt & Maureese Itson Band. Gala Tickets $25. - The Jackson Street Jazz Walk follows on the next day – Sept. 10th featuring 12-bands on 7-community stages, including the Liberty Bank Building, Pratt Fine Arts Center’s Plaza, Cheeky Cafe, Wonder Bar & Restuarant, and the Jackson Apartments.
