A day of art featuring top local BIPOC artists, soul food, and FREE “Pudding & Paint” for youth & young adults. The Kingspen 88 Art Show will consist of a free “pudding and paint” for up to 100 youth who pre-register to paint a pre-drawn image related to the Central District from the year 1988. The participants will receive a complimentary commemorative t-shirt, canvas, paint supplies, and a snack size jar of Dom’s Southern Style Banana Pudding. The event will celebrate Black culture and heritage, promote black artists and performers of various genres, foster community engagement, amplify underrepresented voices, and raise awareness of what the Central District has to offer in regard to food, art and culture.
