Just in time for Halloween, YA Librarian, Aarene Storms, brings together the annual “Scary Stories For Brave Listeners” program. Master storyteller Storms will tell tales to make your blood run cold. Attendees will be invited to share their own stories of dark mystery and sudden surprises under outdoor tents next to the Richmond Beach Library, followed by the Haunted Richmond Beach Walk. Visitors to the park will encounter the hallowed ghosts of the neighborhood’s past: the heroes, the villains, the acclaimed and the forgotten, conjured from the mists by reenactors. Expect to be alternately delighted, shocked, impressed and aghast! The programs are outside, and attendees should dress for the weather. Costumes are welcome. The spine-tingling joint program is for tweens and up. This is not for small children. More info: Richmond Beach Community Association (RBCA) – Building Community Together (richmondbeachwa.org)
