In recognition of the Seattle World’s Fair 60th anniversary, Seattle Center and its resident organizations, several of which are also celebrating anniversaries this year, are commemorating this milestone by celebrating the past 60 years – and creating excitement around what is “New, Now & Next” for Seattle Center. The six-month celebration kicked off April 21st at Seattle Center Armory Food & Event Hall with local dignitaries, music by DJ Mike Steve, and a spoken word performance by Zinnia Hansen, Seattle’s Youth Poet Laureate, and other frivolities.
