The computer-animated installment of Marvel’s superhero classic “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” ignited the animation world with an unique, engaging story, and a fresh animation style that was both visually innovative and rooted in the artistic influences that span decades of comic book art. Join comic book artist J. Bruce Bogle for an exploration of the production team’s creative mastery within Spiderverse and some of the specific references throughout the film that illuminate the way the drawn past has inspired the animated present. Through live commentary and frequent pausing of selected scenes from the film, Bogle will share what makes his comic book appreciation soar in watching the film. The presentation will be a Zoom Webinar and attendees will be able to submit questions that may be answered during or after the presentation. Sliding Scale Admission $5-$15. Please pay what you can; proceeds support both the instructor and SIFF’s virtual programming. More info: https://www.siff.net/virtual/virtual-events/anatomy-of-spiderverse
