Join The Museum of Flight virtually for an in-depth look into the exciting new James Webb Space Telescope*. The next generation of deep space imaging will arrive with the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope in late 2021. Héctor Delgado Díaz is a third-year, PhD student in Astronomy and Astrobiology at the University of Washington and he will be discussing how we can use efficiently the James Webb Space Telescope to find life in planets outside of the Solar System. Bring any questions you have about this new era of space exploration. This is a FREE, online presentation. More info: James Webb Launch Talk | The Museum of Flight
*James Webb Space Telescope (sometimes called JWST or Webb) is an orbiting infrared observatory 100 times more powerful than Hubble. It will be the largest, most powerful and complex space telescope ever built and launched into space. Webb will fundamentally alter our understanding of the universe. Webb is currently planned to launch December 18-21, 2021 from French Guiana and orbit the sun, a million miles away from Earth. The mission lifetime is expected to be 5-10+ years.
