With over 1300 known species, bats are some of the most numerous mammals on the planet. Despite being so abundant and found on every continent except Antarctica, bats are misunderstood and under threat. Join this lively presentation during International Bat Week with Dr. Kloepper, a bat scientist, as she explains the wonders of bats and how you can help protect them. She will detail the incredible adaptations bats have made that allow them to be so prolific, explain the current threats to bats, and inform us how to help and protect them. Her presentation will include videos and pictures from her own field research at bat caves and there will be time for Q&A at the end. This event will be recorded for later viewing on the Sno-Isle Libraries YouTube channel, and will be available for 60 days.
