These February fairs, festivals, parades, consumer shows, and expos in the greater Seattle metropolitan region have free or cheap admission ($15 or less*), or discount tickets that bring the price down on more costly but popular events. *We always list ticket prices without fees.
Many of these February fairs and festivals have additional free activities, as well as those for a fee. There is often food for purchase. There may be other adult and kids’ activities such as tours, face painting, and amusement rides, plus vendors selling various arts, crafts, and other items.

January 25 – Saturday, February 2, 2019. Seattle Boat Show at CenturyLink Field, with a free shuttle to boats in the water at South Lake Union:
February 1-2, 2019. Arlington Stillaguamish Eagle Festival celebrates the winter return of eagles to the Stillaguamish River, where they feed on salmon that have come to spawn in the clean river gravel. The eagles also prey on the snow geese that are feeding in the agricultural fields in the floodplain. To celebrate these special winter residents, Arlington hosts the annual Eagle Festival. Free events include guided preserve tour, nature walk, rock & gem display, nature exhibits, crafts, and kids’ activities. Food vendors, bake sale, and soup sale. Free admission.
February 2, 2019. GroundFrog Day Celebration in Snohomish. The Annual Frognostication, “Snohomish Slew” predicts the coming of Spring at this uniquely west coast adaptation of Ground Hog day folklore of Punxsutawney Phil. Slew vs. Phil for the best prediction. Kids Games, Crafts, Music, Mascots, Pictures with Snohomish Slew, Entertainment for the whole family. Event is free.
February 2, 2019.Kidstock family-friendly arts show in Edmonds. This FREE family arts celebration features musical performances, theatre, arts education workshops, and activities for kids. As the cornerstone of ECA’s programming for families, Kidstock! strives to engage children from a young age in diverse and exciting arts experiences. Free admission.
February 2-3, 2019. Antique & Collectible Show in Puyallup is the largest in the Puget Sound region, happens twice a year with 400 booths of vintage items. Unique finds include vintage clothing, estate jewelry, furniture, decorative items, pottery, costume jewelry, glass repair, clocks, watches, kitchenware, art deco, dolls, toys from the 1880s to 1970s, vintage tribal art, Parrish & Fox prints, and rare books. Tickets: Adult $7. Children 12 and under Free.
February 6-10, 2019. Seattle Improvised Music Festival at multiple venues. Features rare appearances and national and local artists performing solo sets, as well as in curated groupings. Artists represent several generations and a wide range of musical activity, plus community improvisation sessions open to musicians at all levels of experience. Tickets: Suggested donation $5 – $20 at the door, cash only. All ages.
February 7, 2019. FIUTS CulturalFest International Expo in Seattle at the University of Washington HUB features over 35 cultures through music, dance, food, conversation and interactive activities. CulturalFest booths are developed and staffed by student volunteers from all over the world. Open to the public. Free admission.
February 7 – 10, 2019. Seattle RV Show at CenturyLink Field Event Center. A great show to compare possible RV choices all in one place, plus campgrounds and RV parks, RV accessories, outdoor toys, equipment, accessories, and two-wheel vehicles to bring along that customize your RV travel. Seminar topics include RVing to Alaska, diesel motorhome chassis’, solar & inverters, full-time RVing, guided RV tours, camp cooking, propane system safety, and more. Plus “Ask the Technician” with a complete and drivable Freightliner diesel motor chassis where you can talk to a knowledgeable Freightliner representative. February 9, 2019. Seattle Chinatown Lunar New Year Festival in mid-winter is the largest event of its kind in the greater Seattle metropolitan area. The New Year celebration showcases the diversity and richness of the Asian cultures in our region. The celebration includes traditional dragon and lion dances, drumming, martial arts and other cultural performances, arts, crafts, and family-friendly and activities, plus a food walk with dozens of participating restaurants. The celebration will feature numerous traditional and contemporary cultural demonstrations including martial arts, music, dance, and visual arts. The festival is open to audiences of all ages and includes fun, complimentary activities for all to participate. Free event.
February 9, 2019. Emerald City Trapeze show in south Seattle features students of all ages performing fully choreographed acts. Get ready for high-flying fun on the ground and in the air as they amp up the tricks, the air, and the style with their creative and genius skills. Concessions will be available. All Ages Welcome. February 9, 2019. Shoreline Short Short Film Festival in the state-of-the-art Shoreline Community College Theater. A juried selection of 3-10 minute films made by emerging and developing filmmakers in our community will be judged by an esteemed jury of local filmmakers and advocates. Best of the best will take home some prizes and awards. Parking is free. Concessions available for purchase. Tickets: $20.
February 9-10, 2019. Gold, Gem and Mineral Show in Monroe at Evergreen State Fairgrounds. Presentations covering a variety of prospecting subjects. Prospecting Equipment Dealers. February 14, Valentines Day:
February 15 – 16, 2019. Everett Film Festival at the Everett Performing Arts Center offers engaging and thought provoking films from across the country and around the globe with a unique look into the lives of women through documentaries, feature films, animations and film shorts. Ticket pre-sales start in January 2019. Tickets: Friday only $30. Saturday only $35. Festival pass $60. Discounts: Seniors, students, and military save $5 on single day tickets and $20 on the festival pass.
February 15-17, 2019. Getaway: Spirit of the West Cowboy Festival in Ellensburg. Grab a pair of gloves, pull on your boots, wrap up the kids and enjoy a weekend of music, poetry, food, and authentic cowboy culture fused into a great family-friendly community event. There is something for everyone at Spirit of the West festival. Enjoy a wide range of events that reflect a by gone era: Western Gear and Art Show, Dance, Concerts, Dutch Oven Cooking, Fiddle Contest, Cowboy Church, Workshops, Demonstrations, Ranch Roping, and Free kids activities. February 16, 2019. International Fly Fishing Film Festival in Lynnwoodat the Fly Fishing Show. Short and feature length films from all corners of the globe showcasing the passion, lifestyle, and culture of fly-fishing. February 16, 2019. Free rain garden contractor fair in south Seattle. February 21 – 24, 2019. Asian American Film Festival in Seattle at multiple venues features the best in recent independent cinema by and about Asian Americans. February 23, 2019. Pacific Northwest Regional Yo-Yo Championships at Seattle Center. The best Yo Yo players in the Pacific NW compete for the title of Regional Champion and a berth to the National Championships.
