Seattle St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Seattle’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place on the Saturday before March 17 (unless it falls on Saturday, of course). Irish Heritage Club of Seattle presents the annual event. The parade starts at 12:30 p.m. in downtown Seattle on 4th Avenue at James, then travels north on 4th Ave to the Reviewing Stand at Westlake Park, and officially ends at the Seattle Center with Closing Ceremonies around 2:00 PM.
When: Saturday, March 17, 2018.
Where: starts on 4th Ave at James St, downtown Seattle. At 12:20 pm, the Irish flag is raised in front of the King County Administration Building (5th & James) followed by trumpeters playing the Irish and US National Anthem. At 12:30 pm, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshals and the Honorary Parade Grand Marshal lead the parade up 4th Avenue, traveling north from James St to the reviewing stand at Westlake Park.
After the parade, head to Seattle Center for the Irish Festival. Travel for free via the Monorail to the Seattle Center for closing ceremonies in the Armory at 2:30 pm, followed by the Irish Festival.
Seattle Irish Festival
The Irish Festival features cultural roots and contemporary influences of Ireland through live performances, visual arts, hands-on activities, foods, games, and a lively marketplace. Irish tunes, step dancing and the Irish jig keep the energy flowing at this Irish Week Festival.
Festival-goers may trace their roots in genealogy workshops, learn the Irish language and take in colorful cultural exhibits and contemporary Irish short films. Meet Irish celebrities; view Irish movies, cultural exhibits and demonstrations and have a “great craic” (gaelic for “a great times.”).
When: Saturday-Sunday, March 17-18, 2018. Saturday 12 Noon – 6 pm. Sunday 10 am – 6 pm.
Irish Heritage Club of Seattle presents the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, before March 17 (unless it falls on Saturday, of course). While the major activity is the organizing of Irish Week events in March, including the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Irish Festival, the club organizes Irish activities all year round. The Irish Heritage Club is an all-volunteer, grassroots organization whose mission is to promote activities of an Irish cultural nature in western Washington.
Bremerton Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 17, 2018 at 11 am.
Where: Bremerton Parade steps off at 6th and Pacific, heads south on Pacific to Fourth Street, turns right to head down to Park Avenue. At Park Ave turning Right to 5th St. Right on 5th St back up to Pacific Ave.
