Looking for a way to support local small and emerging artists?
Look no further than Smol Art Mart, an annual, free art market in Seattle curated by four local artists that offers a space to showcase work and build connections within the Pacific Northwest art community.
Happening August 8 and 9 from 12 until 6 p.m. at Magnuson Park Hangar 30 (6310 NE 74th St, Seattle), the Smol Art Mart was created to foster community among Pacific Northwest artists as well as to empower new and established artists to grow their art businesses.

Although Seattle has large craft events, there is no prominent community for emerging artists. Smol Art Mart hopes to give emerging artists an opportunity to try vending at events. If artists don’t want to vend or don’t have merchandise, there are also opportunities to join the community through volunteering.
This year, Smol Art Mart will feature more than 150 artists as well as food vendors for their largest event yet. A DIY screen printing station, coloring station, Polaroid portrait station, and photo strip portrait station will also be available for attendees. A free scavenger hunt throughout the market (complete with prizes!) will also happen over the course of the weekend.
