The Blue Mouse Theatre is a beloved historic community space in the Proctor District of Tacoma. Since opening in 1923, the Blue Mouse has provided entertainment to residents for more than a century through multiple changes in ownership and even the threat of closing in the ’90s.
Thanks to the hard work of community members passionate about protecting the arts and preserving history (known as the “Blue Mouse Associates”), the Blue Mouse was restored to its historic glory and still stands proudly today as a core part of the arts world in Tacoma.
