Día de los Muertos Festival 2026

For the 22nd year in a row, the Tacoma Art Museum is partnering with Mi Centro to put on their celebration of family and memory in honor of Día de los Muertos. Join TAM to learn about the holiday’s traditions, enjoy live music, and create your own themed crafts. 

The Festival is on Sunday, November 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is FREE (though donations are, of course, welcome), but all attendees MUST register to secure their timed entry slot. All ages are encouraged to attend.  

The Tacoma Art Museum is located at 1701 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98402.

Schedule

• 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Mictantlicutli Danza Group led by Javier Ramirez
• 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Mariachi Real de Seattle
• 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. SL Cultura Project Ballet Folklorico
• 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mictantlicutli Danza Group led by Javier Ramirez

Activities

• Crafts for all ages: Mini Tapetes, Mini Ofrendas, Printmaking with Eileen Jimenez. All arts and crafts are located on the third floor and are first-come, first-serve. Register ahead of time on the sign-up sheet located in the third floor atrium. There will be four chances to participate per craft over the course of the day.
• Food and drink trucks will be located in the covered parking lot behind the Museum with treats for all ages. 
• Guests over 21 can enjoy the TAM Café and beer garden located on the outdoor patio facing Pacific Ave. As a bonus, the Café’s menu will be at happy hour prices throughout the event.

Other Important Information

• There is limited FREE parking available. Plan to get there early or scout other parking options ahead of time as a backup plan.  
• While costumes are okay, there are some restrictions to keep the event safe and respectful for everyone. No full-face masks, no full-face paint, and nothing hateful or insulting.
