The Puyallup Fish Hatchery sits on 80 acres, nestled in the downtown residential area of the City of Puyallup, a mere four blocks behind the Washington State Fairgrounds. The Puyallup Historical Hatchery Foundation is committed to educating children and citizens about the watershed, the hatcheries unique history, and the raising of different species of trout and salmon, along with preserving and restoring the historic facility. The hatchery is the gateway to the Clark’s creek trail system and local park and welcomes visitors year-round during daylight hours. The onsite Educational Center is open on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm and staffed by volunteers. More info: Puyallup Historical Hatchery Foundation. Note: closed in summer 2019 for renovation, reopening October 2019.
