The Puyallup Fish Hatchery sits on 80 acres, nestled in the downtown residential area of the City of Puyallup, a mere four blocks behind the Washington State Fairgrounds. The Puyallup Historical Hatchery Foundation is committed to educating children and citizens about the watershed, the hatcheries unique history, and the raising of different species of trout and salmon, along with preserving and restoring the historic facility. The hatchery is the gateway to the Clark Creek trail system. Visitors are welcome year-round during daylight hours. Walk the trails and enjoy the beautiful park-like property of this wonderful and historic treasure. Each October, the hatchery hosts a Salmon Homecoming to welcome the salmon returning to Clarks Creek. The onsite Educational Center is open on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm and staffed by volunteers.
