Bold, briny and blue! Come taste Penn Cove’s world-famous mussels! Historic Coupeville celebrates these delectable mollusks annually on the first full weekend in March. Free chef demos 10am-2pm: learn to prepare sensational mussels from incredible chefs at mouthwatering demonstration on the hour, every hour. Free children’s activities 11am-3pm: Musselfest crafts at Whidbey Masonic Lodge, 804 N Main St. Festival activities 10am-4pm: Local Merchants, non-profits, food vendors, and more along Front, Alexander, and Coveland Streets. Blue Zone 11am-7pm: entertainment for all ages and 21+ Beer/Wine/Cider Garden in the Coupeville Rec Hall Parking Lot. Free Shuttles will be stopping at Coupeville High School, Coupeville Elementary School, 8th & Main Street, and Alexander & Coveland. Musselfest special events
- Friday: Mussel Mingle ($35). 21+ only. 2 food items, 2 drinks, live music. Tickets available online only.
- Saturday-Sunday: Musselfest Chowder Tasting ($40). Tickets available online only.
- Saturday-Sunday: Mussel Farm Boat Tour ($15). A 45-minute all-ages guided boat cruise. Tickets available online or in person at the Boat Booth at the corner of Front & Alexander Streets.
- All-ages scavenger hunt ($10). Buckets for sale at the Spirit of Cheer Booster Club booth on Front Street.
