In 2020, Meaningful Movies and Northwest Film Forum present the Social Justice Film Festival entirely online. SJFFI aims to support underrepresented filmmakers and provide a platform for unacknowledged stories while raising awareness, building community, and supporting the art of storytelling through films. All 25 film blocks will be available to view on-demand at any time during the festival. Each block is priced on a sliding scale, $5–$25. Pay what you can! SLIDING-SCALE PASS: $75, $100, or $125. Social Justice Film Festival screens a series of short and feature-length documentaries and narrative films broadly related to social justice. This includes issues pertaining to incarceration, the environment and sustainability, oppression, race and racism, the arts, animal rights, alternative currency and lifestyles, corruption within the system, and so much more. The festival will showcase works that challenge society structures all over the globe on a macro and micro level as well as works that challenge the medium. Festival Passes allow admission to all events and screenings and first access to theaters 20 minutes before show time. Movies are screened in venues across Seattle.
