Track cycling is a competitive sport. Racers maneuver single-speed fixed-gear bicycles around an oval track (called a velodrome), with banked corners and only left turns. Since 1975, Marymoor Park has provided one of a few venues for track cycling in the Pacific Northwest. The Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome (JBMV) is a concrete outdoor velodrome and one of the longest/largest tracks in the country. Track cycling can be seen at the track on a weekly basis throughout the spring/summer months. Try the Track classes are just that – an opportunity to try the track and give adults and youth a taste of what riding a track bike on the velodrome is all about. They offer a short, fun, and focused chance to experience riding on the track with JBMV staff there to support you and get you jump started, without investing in a full race-prep course. Try the Track Classes include track bike rental. cost: Adult Try the Track (1 hour) $10. Youth (Ages 9-16) Try the Track (1.5 hours) FREE.
