Every year, the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden opens for free to the public during the Fall Foliage Festival & Plant Sale as a way to support the local gardening community. Visit during the Festival to buy from local vendors, explore the Garden’s 22 acres of walking paths, and connect with other gardeners.

The Festival is Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Admission is FREE and open to all ages.
The Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden is located at 2525 S. 336th St., Federal Way, WA 98003.
Activities
- Shop from plant vendors including The Green Gargoyle, Wanderlust Nursery, Celestial Dream Gardens, and the Hardy Fern Foundation.
- Support local artists by browsing handmade art, jewelry, and other products for something special to take home.
- Grab a bite to eat from local food trucks.
- Enjoy a guided tour of the Garden.
- Help the kids work through a scavenger hunt as they explore the Garden.
