Art walks happen almost every weekend somewhere in the Seattle-Tacoma metro area. During these events, nearby merchants often offer specials on food, drinks, gifts, and other fun. Scan the list below for a day and place near you–or plan a staycation to explore a new neighborhood or city through its vibrant art community. Before you go, be sure to visit the website for each of the art walks you plan to visit for specific information such as current highlights, as well as maps and directions.
First Thursday Art Walk
Seattle Art Walk
- Pioneer Square Artwalk every First Thursday from 6pm-8pm. The Pioneer Square Art Walk was the first Art Walk in the USA in 1981. Artwalk in Pioneer Square is enhanced by dozens of public art installations found when walking between the galleries, from the historic Native American Totem Poles in Occidental and Pioneer Square parks, to the bright red “Sentinels” (steel sculptures) on guard outside Fire Station 10 at 400 S. Washington St. Parking is free from 5 pm-10 pm at Frye Garage (117 3rd Ave S) and 450 Alaskan (450 Alaskan Way – entrance on King Street); with a parking voucher from participating venues. Second Thursday Art Walks
Seattle Art Walks
- Capitol Hill Artwalk every Second Thursday 5pm–8pm (or later). Artists, musicians, buskers and other performance artists engage and entertain you in this vibrant, quirky, artsy neighborhood. See the website for a comprehensive list of all participating creatives.
- West Seattle Artwalk every Second Thursday from 5pm-8pm. Hosted by the non-profit West Seattle Junction Association, this free art event encourages you to visit venues across greater West Seattle, including Alki Beach, Admiral District, Morgan Junction, Fauntleroy District and Delridge. Enjoy art, music, extended happy hours, and restaurant specials. See the website for a list of participating artists and restaurants as well as opportunities to volunteer and support the growth of the event.
Third Thursday Art Walks
Seattle Art Walk
- Lake City Art Walk every third Thursday from 5pm-8pm. This art walk is the product of deeply intentional collaboration between the Lake City Business Alliance and local creatives. It is part of a larger Community Night event that includes live music and a nearby makers market during the summer. It is free both to attend and to vend so be sure to take part if you can! It is located on Lake City Way NE between Seattle Restored and Hellbent.
- Rat City Art Walk every Third Thursday from 5pm-8pm. Started in 2024, Rat City Art Walk is a newcomer on the scene that has already made a big impact. They are dedicated to boosting local artists and businesses and each event is always different from the last as the list of artists, performers, and participating businesses is always changing and expanding. Take part in the next event to explore the hidden gems of White Center and enjoy specials and discounts from local restaurants as well as exhilirating live performances from musicians, dance crews, and many more.
- Uptown Art Walk every Third Thursday from 5pm-8pm. This growing art walk that runs through Uptown & Lower Queen Anne is a showcase of the brightest and freshest talent in the Seattle art scene. Restaurants, galleries, and bars open their doors for free to build community and foster creativity. They are also always open to volunteers, so be sure to reach out to artwalkuptown@gmail.com if you want to take part.
Puget Sound Art Walks
- Art Walk Edmonds every Third Thursday from 5pm-8pm. Art Walk Edmonds was created in 2002 as a way to showcase local talent and bring attention to the many services and opportunities the downtown area has to offer. Galleries, businesses and restaurants host the works of local and regional artists, and invite you to enjoy all types of art including fine art, music, dance, theatre, performance art, culinary art, and the written word.
- Everett Art Walk every Third Thursday from 6pm-9pm (some galleries close early). Come downtown to be a part of Everett’s vibrant art scene as galleries and businesses showcase local art and don’t forget to take advantage of the Sculpture Walk map they have on their website to see some truly unique local installations. Mingle with the arts community, meet local artists, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres along the way.
- Tacoma Downtown Artwalk every Third Thursday ALL DAY at art destinations citywide. This is less an art walk and more a citywide event. Enjoy extended hours, meet participating artists and take in the sights at museums and galleries. Free admission to the Washington State History Museum (3pm-8pm), the Foss Waterway Seaport (4pm-8pm), the Tacoma Art Museum (5pm-8pm), and the Museum of Glass (5pm-8pm) is also on offer during the event.
First Friday Art Walks
Seattle Art Walk
- Central Distric Art Walk every First Friday from 6pm-9pm. Grab a ticket online for free and enjoy art, music, and food throughout the flourishing Central District. The event runners suggest picking a different section of the Central District to focus on each month to fully immerse yourself in everything the event has to offer in that area.
- Fremont Art Walk every First Friday during the operating hours of participating businesses (listed on the website). Fremont’s galleries, shops and restaurants offer something new, fresh, and exciting for those who want to explore.
Puget Sound Art Walks
- Anacortes Art Walk every First Friday from 6pm-8pm for participating venues along Commercial Ave.
- Downtown Winslow Bainbridge Island ArtWalk every First Friday from 6pm-8pm. Features businesses exhibiting art and restaurants offering small plates and specials. Participating businesses are on Winslow Way, walking distance from the ferry terminal.
- Downtown Bremerton & Manette Art Walk every First Friday from 5pm-8pm. Get there on a one-hour ferry or 30-minute fast ferry from Seattle. Bremerton has one of the largest and most diverse official fine arts districts in the Northwest. Centered in downtown Bremerton at 4th Street & Pacific Avenue, the City’s rich Arts District includes museums, performing art stages, numerous fine arts galleries, unique shops, eateries, clubs featuring jazz and other live music. Take a short walk across the Manette Bridge to enjoy more art, shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities.
- Getaway: Sequim Art Walk every First Friday from 5pm-8pm in downtown Sequim has a monthly color theme, which draws you in and makes for an especially engaging evening. Located on the way to Port Angeles on the Washington Peninsula, 70 miles NW of Seattle via the Edmonds-Kingston ferry.
- Vashon Art Gallery Cruise every First Friday starting anywhere from 1pm to 7pm depending on the participating venues’ hours and ending at 8pm. Exhibits are held in galleries, café’s, antiques stores and restaurants. Main Street (officially mapped as Vashon Highway SW) is alive with adults and kids strolling from one venue to the next. Wine and cheese are almost as abundant as the wonderful creative works that grace walls and floor spaces at every turn, mostly the work of local artists. Get the latest Vashon Beachcomber paper the Wednesday before the first Friday for the latest listing.
Second Friday Art Walks

- Belltown Artwalk every Second Friday from 6pm-9pm. View a variety of local talent and support your neighbors in their creative endeavors.
- PhinneyWood Art Walk (PNA: phinneycenter.org) is hosting the BIG ONE—its annual art walk event on August 14, 2026 from 6pm-9pm and August 15, 2026 from 12pm-5 pm. Enjoy business pop-ups, open art sessions, beautiful art installations, and a range of food specials from participating restaurants in the area.
Third Friday Art Walk

- The U District Artwalk every Third Friday with varying hours depending on the participating businesses and vendors. The U District is a unique Seattle community with a solid grounding in art culture, and features new and exciting work every month.
Fourth Friday Art Walk

- Downtown Art Walk every Fourth Friday from 5pm-8pm. Located between the Belltown and Pioneer Square, this area art walk showcases the best of downtown Seattle with a changing cast of characters every month.
First Saturday Art Walks
Puget Sound Art Walks
- Mount Vernon Gallery Walk First Saturday 1pm-6pm. Located about 60-65 miles north of Seattle. From 2pm-5pm, participants can enjoy refreshments at a variety of gallery openings. Find a list of participating locations on the website.
- Port Townsend Art Gallery Walk First Saturday 5pm-8pm. The waterfront district shows off the work of local artists and some galleries even have complimentary refreshments.

- Ballard Artwalk | Facebook every Second Saturday 6pm-9pm. An evening street festival featuring all the cultural offerings in Ballard. Ballard has a wealth of creative talent they want to share with visitors.
- Georgetown Art Attack | Facebook every Second Saturday with most venues open between 4pm-7pm (monthly venue times posted the Thursday before the main event). Features live music, food, and spirits in Seattle’s oldest neighborhood, centered along the Airport Way S corridor between Lucile S and Bailey S. More info: Georgetown Seattle.
