Free Redmond Derby Days festival

Redmond Derby Days is a summer festival rooted in the spirit of competition that celebrates the uniqueness of Redmond through parades, contests, game booths, arts, music, food and much more. And, admission is free.

It started in 1940 as a bike derby and parade for the community to raise money for holiday decorations and athletic equipment. Today, Derby Days celebrates the spirit of friendly competition and offers all of Redmond an opportunity to enjoy a fun, summer festival.

This year’s event is Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Redmond City Hall.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Schedule and events

Friday’s activities include the Hopelink Neighborhood Fair at Hopelink Redmond Service Center, which is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Derby Days gets going at 4 p.m., with a Foam Party, kids’ inflatables, food vendors, a beer and wine garden, a cornhole tournament and finishes with the Marymoore Grand Prix from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome. Note that this year’s event will not include carnival rides.

From 4:45 to 10 p.m., there will be performances on the main stage.

Here is the Friday performance schedule:

• 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Raegan Leilani, soulful singer-songwriter blending jazz and pop with confessional storytelling.
• 6 to 7 p.m. JAMN, with upbeat, danceable Seattle pop-funk collective.
• 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wildflower Dance Co. & Cami Voss, interactive line dancing paired with honky-tonk and retro-country tunes.
• 9 to 10 p.m. The Pazific, eight-piece band delivering tropical movement music with a Latin psychedelic twist.

Saturday starts with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. The rest of the action gets underway at 10 a.m., starting with a kids’ parade and the Urban Craft Marketplace, plus activity booths, food vendors, inflatables, beer and wine garden and more. The Urban Craft Uprising coincides with the event.

The Grand Parade is at 11 a.m., starting outside City Hall.

Main stage performances are noon to 10 p.m. The Marymoor Grand Prix is 6 to 10 p.m.

Here is the Saturday performance schedule:

• 12 to 1:15 p.m. Kimere, high-energy DJ spinning global beats, house, hip-hop, trap and Latin rhythms.
• 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Lucia Flores-Wiseman, “The Voice” finalist bringing a soulful blend of indie, folk, jazz, and rock.
• 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. M.A. Sampson, gritty, reflective Northwest indie folk and Americana storytelling.
• 4:45 to 6 p.m. La Mala Noche, Seattle DJ weaving together vibrant Latin beats and dance tracks.
• 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Semilla Flamenca + Semilla Folklorica, traditional Flamenco and Mexican Folk dance.
• 7:45 to 8:30 p.m. Rhythms of India, high-energy performance featuring traditional Punjabi Bhangra dance.
• 9 to 10 p.m. Marmalade, veteran Seattle music collective with a blend of funk, rock, and reggae.

The event ends with a Drone Light Show at 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Most Derby Days activities take place at Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85th St, Redmond, WA 98052. There are also events at Redmond Town Center, Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome, and more. 

Parking and transit

Parking is available at the Redmond Town Center, with free shuttles to Derby Days. The parking lots of City Hall and the King County Library will be closed.

The site is adjacent to the Redmond Transit Center, if you want to travel by bus. You can also take the light rail to Downtown Station.
