About LEGOs
*LEGO is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of play materials. The name LEGO is an abbreviation of two Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well”. It’s both the name of the company, and their ideal.
The LEGO plastic building brick in its present form was launched in 1958. The interlocking principle with its tubes makes it unique and offers unlimited building possibilities. It’s just a matter of getting the imagination going, then letting a wealth of creative ideas emerge through play.
The company is committed to the development of children and aims to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow through creative play and learning.
DUPLO bricks are twice the size of traditional LEGO bricks, making them easier to handle and less likely to be swallowed by children aged 1-1/2 to 5. Despite their size, DUPLO are compatible with traditional LEGO bricks.
LEGO products are sold worldwide. More info: www.LEGO.com.
Brickworld expositions and conventions
Since 2007, Brickworld has operated expositions and conventions throughout the MidWest. The flagship show in Chicago is still the largest LEGO fan display in North America. These events are dedicated to LEGO enthusiasts and to supporting the creative community.
