Glass Fest Northwest returns to the Museum of Glass on Friday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a free celebration of all things glassmaking.
The Museum of Glass is a premier contemporary art museum dedicated to glass and glassmaking in the West Coast’s largest and most active museum glass studio. The mission of Museum of Glass is to ignite creativity, fuel discovery, and enrich lives through glass and glassmaking.
Glass Fest Northwest at the Museum of Glass puts art and the Pacific Northwest centerstage by bringing together local artists and artisans, live glassmaking demonstrations, food, drinks, music, and hands-on activities. Enjoy artist booths, food vendors, music, and more on the Museum Plaza, and explore exhibitions and installations in the Museum with FREE admission for the day.

The festival will also host visiting artist Dan Friday, a member of the Lummi Nation and a Skagit Valley based artist. Drawing from cultural themes and using modern processes, Friday’s work is contemporary in format while maintaining basic Native American qualities. He has spent the past two decades working with artists such as Dale Chihuly, Paul Marioni, and Preston Singletary, and was a contestant on the Netflix glass-blowing competition show, Blown Away.
