The dedicated and knowledgeable members of the King County Master Gardeners (KCMG) work in collaboration with communities around King County to do outreach to educate residents on best planting practices and empower them to become more self-sufficient. One of their outreach methods is the operation of ten demonstration gardens that offer gardening mentoring to the public. The Bellevue Demonstration Garden (BDG) was established in 1984 in collaboration with the City of Bellevue to provide educational opportunities, hands-on gardening experience, and access to lively community events for residents. Visit the BDG or one of their many other outreach locations to enhance your gardening know-how.
Their annual Harvest Festival serves as a celebration of the end of the growing season and a chance for folks to come together to enjoy seasonal educational activities for all ages.
