The Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands is a labor of love created by the Tilth Alliance in collaboration with the Friends of Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands in 2009. It has grown to be Seattle’s largest urban farm and is just one of the Tilth Alliance’s many urban farms, gardens, and kitchens that they use as community hubs and centers of accessible hands-on learning.
Their Farm Fest is a self-described “celebration of urban agriculture and the Southeast Seattle community” that brings local businesses and residents together for a day packed with festivities.

The Farm Fest is Saturday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is FREE and all ages are welcome, but they ask that you RSVP so that they can better prepare for the crowd.

Other Information
- Over 25 different community partners from the Woodland Park Zoo to the Beacon Hill Garden Club are collaborating to make this event a success.
- Food and drink vendors include Afella Jollof Catering, Copa de Oro Fruits, HP’s Smokehouse BBQ, HuggieB Cookies, Le Nomade, Ma & Pops, Masakan Seattle, Score Seattle Coffee, and Umami Kushi.
- There will be NO parking at the farm, but there is street parking at Be’er Sheva Park (8702 Seward Park Ave S) and possibly at other areas around the event. Since parking is so limited and not guaranteed, they strongly recommend walking, biking, or taking public transportation (the light rail station is a 15 minute walk from the event and the stop for Bus Route 7 is only a 5 minute walk) to get there.
