‘Magic in the Market’ is Pike Place Market’s longest holiday tradition. The free family-friendly event happens Saturday on Thanksgiving Weekend and features Santa, street performances, artist demos, free activities, and caps off the day with a Christmas tree lighting at the Market Clock. In addition to free activities, you can find all kinds of groceries, stop for a bite to eat, pick out your holiday tree and wreaths from local farmers, and shop for gifts and more from local businesses and fabulous craft makers in the north arcade and the MarketFront Pavilion, located on the north end of the market overlooking Puget Sound (and no longer the viaduct!). Free event, with some optional paid activities. More info: http://pikeplacemarket.org/events/
