The 2021 Virtual Parade will be live streamed on the Waterland Blog Facebook page and shared on the Destination Des Moines and Des Moines Waterland Festival & Parade page. Look for some of your favorites during this online Facebook Live Stream event as the Destination Des Moines’ volunteers drive through Des Moines highlighting neighborhoods. You never know who you will see out and about in our Waterland Community. Parallel processions of boats from Redondo to the Marina and cars, fire truck, and more from Redondo through the neighborhoods and into the marina district ending at the south end of the Marina floor to meet up with the Seafair pirates. The SeaFair sanctioned Waterland Parade is a 3-day weekend festival on the Des Moines, WA waterfront. Free activities include wooden boats in the marina and live music. Saturday evening there is a kid’s parade followed by a grand parade on Marine View Drive from south to north. Sunday there is a car show. Plus enjoy food trucks, beer/wine garden, Kids Carnival ($15-$20 for day pass), pony rides and petting zoo (priced separately–rates on site). Paid parking in the marina. Free admission.
