Okanogan County Fair held the second weekend in September attracts a few thousand people to this north central Washington region, 50 miles south of the Canadian border. Gate fees are reasonable and include most of the events and attractions. Animals are the primary focus of this weekend with showings, sales, and educational opportunities. A variety of cultivated crops are featured from the common apples & carrots to unique crops like kohlrabi. Flowers, natural sciences, home economics, honey, cakes, and more are on display too.
