Yakima Valley wineries roll out the red carpet for Red Wine and Chocolate lovers every February over Presidents’ Day weekend. Winemakers pair delectable confections with their premium red wine, setting the stage for romance in the beautiful Yakima Valley countryside. Red Wine and Chocolate festivities officially begin on Saturday. Some wineries kick things off early with offerings on Friday. The Yakima Valley Visitor Center is a good place to pick up wine maps, winery offerings & hours, and entertainment for your weekend. Tasting fees vary by location (most are $5-$10) and often apply to any wine bottle purchases. PREMIER PASS: $35 includes access to exclusive benefits at over 40 participating wineries including specialty food pairings, library tastings, and tours not available to the public. *PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN GLASS. Wineries cannot provide glasses during large event weekends. More info: http://yakimavalleywinecountry.com/red-wine-and-chocolate-yakima-valley.asp.
