On this 44th anniversary of the Mount St. Helens eruption, hear from local Darrington resident Gary Paull as he shares about the major forces that shape our mountainous home, forces which continue to work beneath our feet every day. Gary’s presentation will conclude with a period of Q&A. Gary has spent much of his life understanding, protecting, and making accessible the North Cascades. Retiring after 42 years in the U.S. Forest Service, Gary “exemplifies what it means to be a steward of our public lands”. He has continued supporting wilderness conservation & education in fellowship with the Darrington Ranger District, regional universities, and other local service organizations.
