Three days of fierce bareback racing. Indian Relay Races are a centuries-old tradition of Native American horse culture that has its roots in Southeastern Idaho. The races consist of teams of riders, with no saddle and no helmet, taking laps around a track and switching or “exchanging” horses after every lap—while the horse is still running. The competitions demonstrate physical skill and teamwork among the riders, the horses, and their team members. The last Relay on Sunday will be the championship determining the winner of the three-day event. Gates open two hours before races start. Adult admission includes a complimentary program for the days race. Ages 4 and under are free. More info: https://emeralddowns.com/
