Art walks are in a state of flux, with a mix of in-person and virtual experiences. Art galleries may open for Phase 2 of Washington State’s Safe Start plan. Some art galleries are by appointment only, some have virtual exhibitions, and others are open to the public. So check the links if you plan to go to confirm.
Or, just go and stroll the neighborhood, window shop, and see what wonderments may appear to you. Stay for a sip or a nosh at an agreeable café or grab something to go before you head home. That’s what art is all about, anyway. Discovery. Contemplation. Arousal. And everything in-between.
The Ballard Artwalk and Georgetown Art Attack in Seattle and the Poulsbo Art Walk on the Kitsap Peninsula host free art walks on the Second Saturday each month. Most art walks begin around 5:00PM and go until 8:00 or later. Nearby restaurants and clubs often join the fun with food and drink specials and live music.
